Little Wax Cay
Home to a transplanted colony of the endangered Bahamian Hutia, the only native land mammal in the Bahamas.
- Pets are not permitted anywhere on the cay.
- Shore visits are prohibited without approriate research permits.
Dying vegitation is a result of the Hutia population. The BNT is presently researching a solution to balance the needs of the hutia while also protecting the biodiversity of the cay.
