Life in Exuma Park

Visitors to Exuma Park will have an opportunity to view a very wide variety of tropical life.

We have organized information in this section of our website to help visitors identify and learn more about the geology, history, flora, fauna, birds and sealife in Exuma Park.

Geology of the Cays

History of the Cays

Features descriptions of plant life throughout the cays. Visitors will notice small signs along the trails that describe many of the plants you will see on your walks.

Features descriptions of some of the land based animal life in Exuma Park. Many of these small animals, such as the Hutia, are very timid and it requires a sharp eye to spot them along the trails. Pets are not permitted on the trails in order to protect animal life on the cays (See Pet Policy)

From the soaring Tropicbirds to the Bananaquits that visit your boat looking for sugar, Exuma Park is home to a wide variety of birds.

The coral reefs in Exuma Park are home to numerous living creatures.
